The immaculate grounds of Lavender Gate Farm form the perfect backdrop for a Sculpture Garden. Feel free to wander around and absorb the eclectic ambience of the sculptures.
Currently there are seventeen unique, permanent sculptures on exhibition.They range from Dillon MacEwan’s Carcutter, created from bike parts, a Mercedes and steel and tagged “Everything we now value will one day be picked clean” to Rudi Jass (“Young Leaves” ) who declares “As an artist I take my instruction and inspiration from forms in nature”.
SCULPTURE IN THE VINEYARDS
From October to January each year there are six outdoor sculpture exhibitions throughout the Wollombi Valley.
Australian artists’ present a myriad of differing concepts and aesthetic intentions every year.
In October 2010 The Gate Gallery hosted the opening of Sculpture in the Vineyards and also supported an exhibition of 'small' sculptures created by participating artists.
